Position : Agribusiness Consultant / Manager - Nairobi

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Agribusiness Consultant / Manager to support agricultural enterprises, cooperatives, and agribusiness companies in optimizing operations, improving profitability, and driving sustainable growth. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of agriculture with business management expertise to provide actionable insights, develop strategies, and oversee the implementation of agribusiness solutions.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advisory services to farms, cooperatives, and agribusiness enterprises on operational efficiency and business strategy.
  • Analyse production processes, supply chains, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop business plans, feasibility studies, and financial models for agricultural projects.
  • Support implementation of agribusiness solutions, including crop management, mechanisation, and agro-processing initiatives.
  • Conduct market research and recommend strategies for product positioning, pricing, and sales growth.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including farmers, suppliers, investors, and government agencies, to drive program success.
  • Monitor and evaluate project outcomes, providing actionable feedback and reporting to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations, quality standards, and sustainability best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5-7 years) in agribusiness consulting, farm management, or agricultural project management.
  • Strong knowledge of agricultural production systems, agro-processing, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and business planning skills.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and presentation abilities.
  • Familiarity with financial modelling, budgeting, and feasibility analysis in agribusiness.
