Job Title: Actuarial Manager
Location: Khartoum, Sudan
Reporting to: Head of Risk / Chief Finance OfficerIndustry: Insurance / Financial Services / Pensions
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Actuarial Manager to lead actuarial analysis, pricing, reserving, and risk assessment activities. The role is critical in supporting strategic decision-making, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing the organization’s financial sustainability through sound actuarial practices.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead actuarial valuations, pricing models, reserving, and profitability analysis
  • Develop and review insurance product pricing and assumptions
  • Oversee risk modeling, capital adequacy, and solvency assessments
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional actuarial standards
  • Provide actuarial insights to senior management to support business strategy
  • Prepare actuarial reports for management, regulators, and auditors
  • Manage and mentor actuarial analysts and junior team members
  • Collaborate with finance, underwriting, risk, and compliance teams

Key Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional actuarial qualification (Associate or Fellow – IFOA, SOA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 7+ years relevant actuarial experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong experience in actuarial modeling, pricing, reserving, and risk management
  • Proficiency in actuarial and analytical tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, SAS, Prophet, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly
  • High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail
