Position : Accountant - Nairobi

We are looking for an Accountant.
Responsibilities :

  • Oversee daily financial transactions, including cash flow, income, and expenses
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports (P&L, balance sheets, etc.)
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and statutory deductions
  • Prepare tax returns and ensure timely compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF)
  • Monitor budgets and control expenditure to optimize operational efficiency
  • Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and other financial records
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, asset depreciation, and cost management
  • Support external audits and liaise with regulatory bodies as required
  • Advise management on financial planning, risk management, and cost-saving opportunities

Required profile for job ad : Accountant - Nairobi

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Must be a CPA finalist or actively pursuing CPA(K)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar accounting role, preferably in the hospitality sector
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Excel
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
