ACCOUNTANT - Katta, Mpererwe Buwambo Road

Position Overview: We are seeking a qualified Accountant to manage and oversee various financial tasks within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for bank and general ledger reconciliations, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting various accounting functions.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare bank and other general ledger reconciliations.
• Make bank deposits and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain the cash book.
• Manage petty cash transactions.
• Ensure accuracy of all payment amounts and records.
• Prepare statutory accounts, including NSSF, PAYE, and EFRIS invoices.
• Work with journals, sales, and purchase ledgers.
• Enter and code financial transactions appropriately in Tally.
• Process payments and assist with making sales invoices and cash sales.
• Track expenses related to specific activities and projects.
• Validate invoices against items or services received.
• Check all financial transactions for accuracy.
• Process supplier payments according to proper procedures to minimize risk to the company.
• Review and approve weekly operational budgets.
• Facilitate and support external audits.
• Assist with monthly stock-taking.
• Perform any other assignments as imposed by management.
